Default Purpose of the Legacy Radios Forum

I'll start this off here with a post on what the purpose of this part of the forum is for anyone who has any questions.

This forum is for the discussion of Motorola products that do not fall into the APX, ASTRO25, ASTRO or Flashport JEDI product lines. Such products include:

    • Genesis series (HT 600, MT 1000, MTX 800/810/820, MTX 900, Radius P200, "Classic", etc.), as well as the
    • ANALOG ONLY Spectra series, Syntor/X/X9000 Series
    • Mostar
    • MaxTrac
    • ANALOG ONLY Saber series
    • MX 300/310/320/330/340/350/360/(S) Series
    • MT 500 Series Portables
    • RADIUS Series Portables & Mobiles (GP300, P110, P1225, P50, P10, etc.)
    • Professional Series Portables & Mobiles (CDM750, CDM1250, CDM1550, HT750, HT1250, HT1550XLS)
    • Minitor/Director series tone & voice pagers
    • Other "Solid State" Motorola two-way products that don't fall into the APX/ASTRO25/ASTRO/JEDI series.

Please feel free to post your questions that don't belong in a forum already established for a certain product family in this forum. I look forward to answering any questions I'm capable of answering, as do most others here on the board.

    Enjoy!

Don't forget your friendly neighborhood ham radio operators when you stop using those radios as we are not bound by that narrow banding rule. I have 6 Maxtracs in daily use for ham radio as both voice and data radios.

If you go to get rid of them hams with buy them up!

I still have and use some HT600 portables. There are still tons of them out there. Good equipment never goes obsolete.

I have plenty of "legacy" equipment still in use, with the narrowband capable stuff on the commercial bands, and the non-narrowband stuff on just the ham bands. I have a couple of boxes with stuff that I need to tweak down into the ham bands and put on Fleabay. I have lots of analog Spectras that I need to do a recap and retune on once I get the bench reset.

I still love MaxTracs! The radios program under a modified DOSBOX in Windows, the 16 pin connections on the back gives you everything you will ever need...
