Default Motorola MCC 7100 Dispatch Console?

What the hell is this? Mom sure doesn't spend much time giving her field people notice about this stuff. What's the back end of it? MCC 7500? It's own thing? MIP 5000?

    Anyone know?

It is kind of a cross between the MCC7500 and the MIP5000.
It has a reduced feature set (up to 20 audio streams) from the MCC7500.
It is still meant to be integrated with the P25 system network whereas the MIP is a stand alone console.
So think of it as a MCC7500 with less features and no VPM or GPIOM.

Can it operate standalone, or does it have to be integrated with a P25 Master Site?

I recall they first introduced this at the 2011 Vegas road show. It's meant to work with a P25 Master Site, no standalone operation at all.

OK. So it's essentially a very scaled down, "bare minimum needed resource availability" MCC 7500 that does the VPM in software. Got it. Movin' on.
