Default Hot air rework station, should have done this years ago!

I picked up a small entry level Sparkfun brand hot air unit at Microcenter today. Man, I should have done this years ago. I've already been able to remove a 44 pin microprocessor from an old Bendix King board with no harm to the board, part or any other parts. I figured I would trash everything the first try but I didn't. This is the only way to go!

Did you get the model 303D?

Yes that's the model. I've been able to remove all kinds of stuff, even a metal cover similar to what is found in an XTS. I'm practicing on an old Motorola Telario cellphone PTT combo thing.
