I have a S split uhf radio ending in AN. most google searches state that this radio isnt narrowband compliant. only DN radios because there newer? I have the option to change the "IF bandwith" from/to "25/30" "20" and "12.5" Isnt this option the narrowband setting? or am I way off. I can successfully write a codeplug to the radio using the 12.5 setting, but how would I check it? Thanks

I have a related question, if anyone knows - for the MTS2000, what's the deal with narrowbanding - is it supported as of BN revision? I'm guessing from the answer above it may be. Also, can the splinters be programmed (aka the DN issue mentioned above) with a BN? Being a different series than the HT1000, I was hoping a BN was new enough to support it, perhaps...

BN is the newest for a MTS2000. What is the firmware in the radio? GARY

Thanks, I kind of thought BN was the latest for the MTS2K's. The Firmware is somewhat later, 6 something, I don't have the radio with me at the moment - There is probably a minimum F/W rev. that supports narrowbanding, I assume? Thanks!

For reference, ALL Jedis are narrowband-able, but only the newer/later firmware sets will do the splinters. It depends on the individual model though as to where the threshold is. Also, all final revisions of all Jedis could handle the splinters.
