    Default M7100 Test Mode?

Do the M7100 mobiles have any sort of RF Test Mode they can be placed into, similar to how all Motos can? We perform FCC checks for a local Ford dealer (after they install police packages) and the majority of what they bring in is Motorola but every now and then there's a customer with these EDACS radios and the best we can do is find a conventional talkaround channel but we'd much rather prefer a proper RF test. Searching and searching on Google has been fruitless. TIA

There isn't a built-in RF test unfortunately. It will typically require re-programming with a test profile, followed by re-programming with your original operating profile once testing is complete.

I always keep a test profile on hand with various low, medium high frequencies to test TX/RX across the band.

    Cheers,
    SD.

Thanks. Oh well. We cannot program these radios at all so we'll just keep searching for a conventional simplex channel like we've been doing. The radios are delivered to the Ford dealer already programmed for whatever municipal system they're going on to. We simply perform FCC checks. If they fail, we can't tune them so they get sent back to the owner.
