    Default XTS Commander Mics

Hello all, I am having a problem getting a Commander mic to work with my XTS2500i bn version. First the radio does not have tags, firmware is 16 and it is mod 3 full keypad and I used the newest cps. I have a regular mic on there and works fine. I then ordered a HMN4084a which is for xts2500 and xts5000. No joy. Even tried a Rmn5089b just to see even thought it is for xts5000 no joy. My question is, if the radio was born a xts1500 and now a 2500 wouldnt one of these 2 work? And yes the Rmn5089B works with my xts5000. Any help would be great. Thank you

Mine doesn’t work either. I believe I found something on batboard stating the pinout is slightly different on the 2500 accessory connector. The mic will just not work on that radio.

Even though MSI's literature says HMN4084A should work with the 2500, with correct Tanapa and FW.

@OP - HMN4084A doesn't work with 2500 and 5000. HMN4084A is the model that is for the 2500. 5000 is a different model; HMN4080A. I saw the same post as Mars on BB describing the different pinouts -- which is stupid. But whatever works on the 5000 isn't going to work on 2500.

I suppose all bets are off when you're dealing with a no-tags radio.
