    Default Tait Excel Database Error

    More er less a copy n paste from the ausie tech place

    Have a Excel TOP H-2210-CP with firmware 2224A131
    Database ver 9004
    Hardware Ver 0004
    Software 4.18.0

    When reading the radio i get a The radio database version is not supported. Please upgrade

    What does this mean and how do i "upgrade" it without loosing the info in the radio?
    Havnt touched a tait radio in years

    Turns out im in need of the fancy dancy software version the Bell Mobility Radio techs used to program the fleetnet tait portables with to read a radio i have access to. Anyone know a way around that or have the software i could maybe get the radio to so it could be read.. PM me if sooOoooo

    Could be the case the series of radios are running a custom version of firmware - also Tait is known to fork their software and add in extra functionality for large customers (BHP/BMA here is Australia is one such customer). so to have any luck you will need that sub release of the software.

    There is a procedure floating around to move the firmware of radios back to mainline releases without to much risk of bricking the radios.
    Due to the increased cost of ammo - do not expect a warning shot!

    Would i loose all the programming in the radio?

    Unsure - I have not tried to migrate programming across.

    radios I have changed back were not going back on the original network
    Due to the increased cost of ammo - do not expect a warning shot!
