    Default XTS4000 MUC Insert

Has anyone ever seen or know of a MUC insert for the XTS4000? I have two XTS4000's and one adapter for the single impres charger. Would be really convenient to be able to charge them in the rack charger.

They exist but were made NLA years ago and there is no remaining stock.

Unless you can find a dealer that has some NOS, or a second hand set, youíre out of luck.

I managed to dig up a part number for you, however it is confirmed as being cancelled so won't be much use:-

NNTN7836A - XTS4000 INSERT FOR PHOENIX Multi Unit Charger - Cancelled.

Would it be the same for a single unit battery reader? I have some inserts that I have never used. Maybe one is for a 4000? Let me dig it them out. I might could hook you up.

The MUC inserts are different to the single charger/IMPRES reader inserts. They arenít cross compatible.

Iím interested in the inserts you have though!!

Yeah if you have an XTS4000 insert for a single impres charger I'm interested in that too.

More just interested in what you might have that's of interest. An XTS4000 single unit adaptor would be nice to have.

I really have no idea what these extra inserts are for. They came with a single impres data reader. No manual of coarse. Do either of you know what they extras are for? I assume one is for a 4000, but not sure about the other two.....

IIRC, the older IMPRES Data Readers came with inserts for :

    -APX (6000/7000, etc)
-TRBO (XPR 6xxx series, might also work with newer ones)
    -WARIS (HT750/1250, etc)

There is probably a reason there are no Impres reader inserts for the XTS4000. I've never seen a 4000 battery with an Impres chip, but I was lucky enough to score a SUC adapter for one years ago. I would also love a MUC adapter someday...
