    Default NNTN7619 Charger

Cant seem to find any info on the NNTN7619A charger of what radios it fits

Hoping she fits a APX7000 but cant find any documents about it.

Anyone know what radios it supports?

Typically letter revisions are minor changes. Most of the time (with exceptions of course) the end product is nearly identical. I'd imagine it's probably some small hardware tweaks as well as a newer impres version.

Just FYI on that mobile 12v charger.
It does not have the capability to recondition/calibrate, like normal IMPRES chargers.
It will however indicate when it needs to be inserted into a regular IMPRES charger for recondition.

The APX4000 uses the Mototrbo battery, the 7000 uses the APX battery.

Recondition indicated by the charge status LED alternating yellow-green. There is also a battery holder/adaptor (NNTN7688) for the APX series batteries when charging the battery without the radio. The adaptor does make getting the battery out much easier from the vehicle charger, protects the contacts and allows you to use the strap through the battery holder handle. Batteries can be charged without this adaptor though.

I use the smaller size battery normally and have the tall *** high cap one as a backup. Might just keep the highcap in the charger for the hell of it whenever the radio isnt in it.

What does the VRS switch do? Just activate a external repeater if connected? Such as an SVR or something?

    Yes sir.

    From the manual:

"The Vehicular Charger has a VRS (Vehicle Repeater System) Toggle Switch which, once enabled, provides an output signal such
that when the portable radio is pulled out of the pocket would provide repeater functionality."

    Annnnnd...

"VRS Status Toggle - Allows the user to enable the repeater when no radio is present."

Looks like a replacement for the 7619 (which is/was at version C, firmware 4.0). Interestingly the webpage says it's reconditioning capable.

Also, the correct charger for the lower-tier APX portables (and XPR radios) is the NNTN7616: https://www.motorolasolutions.com/en.../nntn7616.html

Must of been a typo on the sellers part?
Was on ebay for 75 bucks just missing mounting bracket and power cable. Figured for THAT price.. cant let it go.

Now trying to find a gamber johnson console mount for the charger. They dont make them for the charger and said if i order 100 they will.

Any idea if havis or troy console plates fir the gamer johnson consoles? I know troy will make custom brackets and im sure havis already has one for these chargers

Had to make a custom bracket for my console but got the charger in and powered up. Seems to be working just fine n dandy on the APX7000. Have a high cap battery so that drops in and easy to get back out without the radio on it.
Quite happy with this. Too bad it wasnt the XTVA style charger so i could put a mic, antenna and external speaker on it. But this is working for my needs anyways
