Default Astro Spectra Vocon board = No P25?

    Hi Folks,

I picked up some VHF Astro Spectras from a dealer who has been pretty reliable.

They were supposed to be P25 compatible. I read the codeplug, and did the decode on the options, and it said P25 Capable, Analog only.

Ok, no sweat, I'll just change the options. I pulled the appropriate 2 S-record lines from a working radio & reprogrammed the radio.

Now, it gives me the appropriate options.

However, when I program the channel for mixed mode, it doesn't open up. I'm thinking that the Vocon might be Vselp or something. The tag on the Vocon is HLN6458E. It's a 1meg board.

    Ideas?

    Thanks,

    Tim

What is the dsp version? A and M versions are analog only. I and N support digital and analog.

You need a host dsp upgrade then.
