    Default Codeplug Version APX6000

Purchased an APX6000, I have R14.01.00 CPS but the radio codeplug version is R17.01.01. What is odd is that the firmware is still on R09.00.00 so why was the codeplug read on R17.01.01 CPS? I can't read the radio from my R14 CPS even though the firmware version is R09. Had to use a friend's laptop and R18 CPS to figure all of this out.

Can I somehow change the codeplug version to rollback to R14 so that I can use my CPS version?

When a radio is hit with a new version of CPS, the codeplug version will be updated to match regardless of the firmware version.

As to your second question... There is no legitimate way to roll a codeplug back to an earlier version.

Great thanks for your reply. Guess it is time to buy R18 CPS or just have my friend program it for me. Wasn't expecting anything different from MSI...

It's been that way for more than 25 years, since the first days of MTSX and ASTRO RSS. The APX line is just more tamper-resistant.

Welcome to digital sloppy speech recognition. At least I have an excuse, my stroke sometimes mixes up words, but I can correct them.
