Default Looking for Motorola Mostar service manual

    Hi guys,

After many-many years I have finally got my hands on a Motorola MIB, the so-called Mostar Interface Box. Now I have all the stuff to play with retuning and realigning these old rigs to the ham bands. The only problem is: I live in the EU and I lack the service manual. I tried to google it for several days, but could not find it in any electronic format.

Can someone give me a hand?

I'd prefer the VHF/UHF manual, but I think any version will fo to figure out where the tuning points are.

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

Unless someone scanned it, there never was an electronic copy. You will probably have to resort to purchasing a manual from a place like eBay.
    Apparently NOT a radio professional.

Yes I was afraid of that. It was a long time ago since I've seen a VHF/UHF manual for the Mostar on eBay. Now I can only see 800 MHz manuals.

    Tom,

I have the Mostar VHF Instruction Manual 68P81063E70-O in my collection. It's never been scanned but I suppose that I could scan the alignment/adjustments section that is only a few pages out of the entire manual. PM me if this will be of any help.

Yes Bill, that would be great. Maybe you could upload the scanned images here so everyone could use it if needed.

And this sounds even better. Yes, please. If you have some time, please scan it or take some photos with your smartphone. Today these phones have excellent quality cameras when that paper is lit well.

I'd prefer the VHF manual first

    Thank you in advance

    Hey guys,

I have fired up the Mostar RSS and tried to read/write the radio but I got stuck at this point... (see attached pic)

Where yould I look for the self-test pads and how should I short them? Without a manual, this is pain in the youknowwhere...

    Thanks.

Nevermind guys... solved the problem with the help of Andy Brinkley. I'll post the image included in his private email, I hope this helps for others who will face this issue somedays.

On the following pic, you can see the pads what needs to be shorted before the radio is programmed (read/write). Look for the yellow circle on the pic below.
