    Default VP6000 errors

    Hi y'all,

I recently picked up a couple of VP6000s that were still in the box and assumed to be new open box units. When I powered them on, the first unit (VP6430) will power on to the EFJ log screen but never get past that point. The second unit (VP6330) will power on and do the self test then shut back down. I'm assuming the 6330 has been inhibited since I know the other EFJ Viking radios do a similar event when inhibited, but the first one has me baffled. Neither unit will connect to Armada or allow any other input from what I've tried. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Are there micro SD cards present in the card slots? My VP5430 won't boot if the SD card isn't inside.
Your streaming makes me AES-256. Keep it up and you'll soon have nothing to listen to.

    What’s the difference between a VP400, 600 and 6000?

400/600 are similar to the vp900 without dual band.

The 6000 is based off the vp5000 which is identical to nx5000 in design just different feature sets.

Tried booting with and without the micro SD and same response either way. The 6430 actually has the stopper on it so you can't even open the card slot.

Also the dummy 1234 and 0987 keys that would work with the 5100 and 5300 series radios will NOT work with the new viking radios at all. Has anyone done any work or looked at the new keys that are needed for the viking radios at all? Since the radio is data based driven you might say trying to hex in the old keys just will not work at all. Any ideas anyone?
