That's pathetic QC, if Motorola is sending out factory new radios that aren't aligned to factory spec's.

Everything that comes back to us from Depot gets ran through autotune. There have been some radios sent back with oscillators wayyyyyyyyyyy off the reservation when they return.

Until we started ordering radios with the certification and printout option, one out of five radios could not receive the CC, let alone affiliate.

Weird that checking the moto proprietary features box allowed it to suddenly grow ears. Definitely staying tuned for this one.

I wish we could set policy like that, but none of our bases, with the exception of us, have a service monitor or the personnel that know how to use one. All maintenance is under warranty for the Harris side and Motorola is supposed to come through our maintenance department here unless they are under warranty. All radios that come into our facility are aligned before they leave. Trying to get satellite bases to send us brand new radios to be aligned is never going to happen, because they'd expect a manufacturer to QC their product before it is sent to the buyer. They look at it like this; you don't buy a brand new car and then take it to your favorite mechanic to do a tune-up. We know better than to trust Motorola, but we are dealing with people that have the car/mechanic mindset.

Alright. We got the radios working.

The Preferred Sites under the Personality tab needed to be unchecked and the Site List Type needed to be changed to Preferred. It was set to Blocked. The guy doing the programming was changing a lot of things and thought that by checking Moto Prop Features did it, but he changed it back to being unchecked and it worked. We were focusing on the Trunking System and couldn't get it to work.

    - Motorola Proprietary Features - Unchecked
    - Ignore Site Resource Preference - Unchecked
    - Site List Type - Preferred
    - Non-Adjacent Site Search - Checked
    - Validate NAC Against System - Unchecked

Thank you guys for all of the suggestions. This one had us scratching our heads for sure.

You should be able to leave Ignore Site Resource Preference checked, then the radio ignores Site List Type and Non-Adjacent Site Search fields.

Motorola Proprietary Feature and Validate NAC Against System MUST be unchecked for a Harris System.

    Glad you got it working.

We do have Validate NAC Against System unchecked on the APX8000, but it is checked on our XTS2500s.
