Default SS Helicoil inserts on XL200P

FYI check your stainless helicoil inserts on recent batches of XL200P.
Noticed the threads came out of the first radio I tried to program when I removed the programming cable.
Several other radios did the same thing.
Earlier radios have noticeable green loctite in the threads, yet these have none visible.
Supposedly this is a known issue and only affected a "small number" of radios......

If it is indeed Loctite, and it's green that is usually retaining compound. But I would not think you would see much of that on the treads of the earlier units.

If you want try using a mating screw (probably metric) and extract the threaded insert and then use either red Loctite or green retaining compound, but use either very sparingly. The retaining compound sets very fast on metal and probably seconds on plastic so be sure to insert it all the way in quickly.

Just got a batch of 185p units in. Will check all of them tomorrow before they go out the door.
