    Question Liberty Heavy Duty Headset

A few years back I was quoted from Thales for a Liberty Heavy Duty Headset (P/N: 42804‐001)
At the time, they had a few remaining in stock. Regrettably, I never committed to buy one.

Has anyone seen one of these headsets in the wild, or have any advice for procuring one?
    Thank you.

All of the audio accessories were OTTO. You could check with them, if not you'll need to hijack a connector and wire yourself.

I just received this message from OTTO:

Thank you for your interest in OTTO.
OTTO does not support the Thales Liberty radio. I wasn’t able to cross reference 42804-001 in our system.
All Thales accessories are proprietary to Thales. You would have to contact Thales directly.

I replied trying to clarify that the liberty has long since been discontinued.
Looking at my speaker mics, they do indeed seem like OTTO models.

Just got a response to my follow-up:

Any Thales accessories that OTTO made for Thales are proprietary to Thales.
Thales did not give OTTO permission to make accessories with their Liberty connector.
    I hope this helps.

Just heard back from Thales. Their small stock of remaining liberty accessories is officially gone
With that, I have exhausted all of my known options in tracking down a Heavy Duty Headset.

For anyone who knows the whereabouts of a Liberty Heavy Duty Headset, please PM me.
    This is a standing offer.

Any recommendations for a PTT headset with a hirose connector?
I've been searching for days and haven't found anything that doesn't involve a rare/chinese/costly U-174/U PTT adapter with hirose connection.
I am very likely overthinking this

I think you're spot on. I wound up asking for a quote on the V4-10148 which I suspect was closest to the Liberty headset.
Sadly the grand total is $319.29- a bit out of reach at the moment. I'd imagine it's worth every penny.

Thank you! I was able to snag it! Almost 50% off the quote I got from OTTO.
I look forward to seeing how well this works with my Liberty.
