    Default Rack for mobile installation

Looking for a rack (around 24RU) for installation in a command / comms unit. I need vibration isolation and ability to handle shock loads associated with mobile use. Suggesstions?

SKB brand have very good racks, they have a musician gear line and a militar grade line, that might fit your needs. I use the Roto-X series that are not heavy duty, but very practical and lightweight. They fit my needs, even I would love to have the budget for the industrial/military grade series.

+1 on SKB cases, I also have a custom made rolling case form A&S for my computer that I use for different A/V needs, and I like it a lot.

Are you building it into the MEOC or plan on moving it on and off.

Used to use full height Middle Atlantic racks with a rubber mount set of feet, but I don't remember who made the feet -

If you're looking for a shock-mounted rack case on wheels like what's been posted I can recommend some good custom shops depending on where you're at or if you can do freight shipping. A group I'm part of buys cases all the time so I know who's decent.

Making your own road cases is also viable, done that a bunch too.

This would be for fixed installation in a mobile comms vehicle (ie rubber insulators bolted through floor). I do have several shock insulated rotomolded ATA type rack cases for things like portable repeater setups that deploy out.
