Default Tait becomes second vendor to offer dual band DMR

Dual band commercial DMR offering increases:

While hams have a choice of dual band radios, it's interesting to see Tait join JVC Kenwood (part owner of Tait) with a commercial dual band offering.

This looks like multi-deck control head with single band decks to me. A little bit false marketing IMO.

Kenwood has only referred to it as "multi-band configuration" or "Multi-Band (Multi RF Deck) Control" not " multi-band radio" or "dual band radio"(singular).

Kenwood reserves the true "dual-band" distinction for their Viking products like the VM900.

Wish Tait would come out with a decent looking control head some day... PASS...

Tait says its for Tier 2 DMR. Nothing about Tier 3 on that page.

The HHCH is a decent design though. I agree on the chassis co tr head though. They are quite ugly.

TM9300 has done Tier 3 since the day it launched.

I know Tait has done tier 3 since it was published, I'm saying in that litrature Tait specifies those radios are tier 2.

Interesting that they have a 220 deck for it too.
