Default APX2000 anyone have one or used one?

They look pretty small and neat. FPP capable as well?

Same case as a 4000. Neat little radio but not PS grade. The knob on top is volume and mode, click it down to change between the two. Screams "keep spare parts on hand" because these will get broken a lot, I'd bet. They are small, and light with the Li-Ion battery.

Interesting. The size looks really handy.

What's the difference between APX2000 and APX4000? They seem identical judging by their look.

Our Secret Service has upgraded to APX2000. Haven't seen them close, but the audio sounds awesome, compared to the XTS2500

It appears as the APX2000 is exactly the same as the APX4000, But it is the European/Latin American version of the radio. I may be wrong, but after a bit of looking the APX4000 is only on the North America site, and the APX2000 is on the European and Latin America Site. Both pages and docs read the same, just with the model numbers changed.

I found a APX2000 codeplug on some Russian site, and it was written in Chinese and the domain expired 2 minutes ago. I managed to get the codeplug downloaded. Here it is. VHF, full model, with all options loaded.

Requires version 10 CPS to open.

Are these built on a similar chassis to the XPR7550?

Yes, it's very similar to the 7550, except it only has 1 multifunction knob on the top (vs 2 on the 7550).
