    Default EFJ 900 5100 replacement antennas

    Anyone got a good source for replacement antenna's? Any specific ones to avoid?

    If you haven't found any, I got one on ebay from panda222a that seems to work very well. It is advertised as being for Motorola, but the connector is the same SMA as the orignal. Be careful of other vendors who adversitse 800-900 MHz antennas with a band center of 850.

    I'm using Motorola 700/800/900MHz stubby antennas on mine and they work (not as well as the EFJ whip they came with) alright.

    on my 800 MHz 51SL, I've found that the Moto long 800 MHz & long 7/800 MHz antennas work better than the EFJ antenna, I have friends who swear by the Moto stubbies...
