Does anyone have experience with 220MHz DMR mobile radios? There is the Tait TM9300 and Anytone AT-D578, anything else?

How well does the D578 perform? Appreciate any user feedback or test data.

I didn't realize there was a 220 commercial DMR radio. I really need to give Tait a look. I love 220 but cant seem to get the folks here to play with it. I am interested in the information you are seeking as well.

The 220 stuff is very limited because the band was essentially auctioned off to utilities several years ago in big chunks. They get licensed for a piece of the spectrum that they can slice and dice any way they want like the cellular providers. Tait is the only company I know of that has a viable product. I only have a glancing knowledge of it from helping a local power company implement their system (along with a new Avtec console, and new microwave backhaul).

The Anytone D578 is limited to approximately 5 watts output on the 220 band so range is limited. The only DMR 220 usage I use it for is simplex among a few locals, base to base operation It works good for that.
