    Default MCS2000 FLASHED FOR REBANDING

I am looking for opinions/thoughts on this comment:
"I read one and it shows Firmware 7.73 & flash Code 002004-000000-2 ............ This is from a Trunked 4.1 System that was just rebanded & upgraded to the new Smart X P25 system - Radio was flashed for this system but just taken out of service & sold as surplus !"
I know this radio will not do the digital.
In your opinion, do you think it may do 12.5 khz channel spacing since it was flashed for rebanding?
The model number indicates it is 20/25 khz.
    Thanks,
    Bob
    Common sense is Uncommon.
You can't fix stupid, but eventually it takes care of itself.

I don't see why not. It should have the 2.5 KHz narrowband deviation selection. Now whether or not it will do the actual 2.5 KHz steps is another question.

Unfortunately I don't have a 7.73 MCS codeplug sitting around here, otherwise I'd gladly verify for you.

I just checked and they will do 12.5k. I have bought several of those radios from that seller and they all have been in great shape.

Assuming they are 800, they were always able to do 12.5 splinters and 2.5KHz deviation even before rebanding. All rebanding did was to move the NPSPAC band down from 866-869/821-823 down to 851-854/806-809MHz.
