Default Backup RIB -Knockoff of a Knockoff

First off, I would like to say this is not a commercial for anyone.
The other day while having issues trying to program a MCS2000 I decided I wanted to get another RIB.
I currently use a Polaris PA-2 that I have had for about 10 years.
I first looked at Motorola OEM RIBs. $$$wow$$$
Then I figured I would just get a second Polaris PA-2. (out of stock)
Then I looked at the Polaris PA-4. Normally $99 USD on sale for $69.
Sounds good, I thought; followed by, gee those look familiar.
I did a quick search on eBay and found plenty of PA-4 look-a-likes.
I decided on a US seller from Iowa and bought one for $22 USD.
Two days later, today, it arrived.
Works great so far. Opened it up, and was pleased to see that it was well assembled.
Amazing how closely it resembles the Polaris PA-4 on the outside.

    Common sense is Uncommon.
You can't fix stupid, but eventually it takes care of itself.

I've had a great experience from the Kawa group of accounts. I've bought a lot of stuff I probably don't need from them- never had any problems. All of it seems to be well made. Especially their programming cables.

Their 1st generation of RIBs were pretty bad, but the 2nd generation and 3rd now are just as good as OEM. Its what I have.

There is some RIB information here on the problems and how to fix them. Look in Motorola RIB mods.
