    Default XTS5000 Strange sound...

    Hello,

I bought a re-cased VHF XTS5000 from an eBay seller.
The radio looked as advertised, arrived promptly, and the seller has been very helpful after the sale. Good guy.

I programmed a zone with 16 narrowband analog channels all right around 155MHz. I setup a scan and have 12 of those analog channels in the scan list.
When the radio is NOT set to scan, everything works like I'd expect it to. When I turn scan on, the attached file (hopefully) is a sample of the audio that I receive. This channel is receiving on 155.655

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Priority scanning. Turn it off.

Yep...I had my work channel set as Priority 1 (dot flashing). I guess that's the sound of the radio breaking to scan my priority channel in the middle of the communication?
