    Question Icon ID on XTS5000

We just put up a few test GTR8000's and programmed a few test channels on our XTS5000's and APX. The XTS5000's have a new icon. What does an icon that looks like an "Arrow with a V over it" mean.

I haven't found this on our cheat sheets.....

    Voting scan.

It's normally used in conventional mobile voting systems, which are essentially simulcast systems where all of the repeaters have a common input frequency, but different output frequencies. When the system comes up, the mobile will scan for the repeater output with the highest RSSI.

Aw, makes sense. That's what we are testing... do you know why the direct icon also comes on even thought its a repeater pair?

Maybe you've inadvertently activated "Talk-Around" (do you have it assigned to a switch that's already on) or maybe there's something screwy in the profile?
