Default Desk Tray with Speaker (GLN7326) for Waris (CDM) Series.....

    As per subject....

I've noticed it doesn't have any holes on the sides to secure the mobile (with wingnuts) to the tray, does it just sit on top of the tray (un-secured)??

Unless if you're in a low-gravity environment, it should be OK!

The inner face of eac side has a little 'scoop' that captures the little die-cast-metal cross that sticks out thru the plastic top cover of the radio. Just sits in place.

Tho when I had an application where I wanted to stack 2 CDM's on the base tray, I did drill holes in that side wall for the wingnuts, and used a mending plate, about 1/2 inch wide x maybe 3 inches long, and maybe 20 ga. thick ness, with holes drilled to accept the wingnuts.

Thanks for all the replies, very informative and comical.

If I don't like how it just sits in, I can always adopt Mars's method or drill a hole.....

    Cheers.

Fozz3d, here are a couple shots of the GLN7326 for waris(CDM series). The radio in the pic is a Moto MTM800e on Tetra however uses the same radio frame as the waris radios.

I find the radio sits in just fine for regular desk use, We have a few in use and i have never had someone complain that the radio pops out of the speaker mount ?

Thanks mtp850, 3 pictures tell 3000 words. Thats exactly what I wanted to see, its for a GM338 with a desk mic, the problem was, its going to be on top of a cabinet and didn't want the radio to move off the mount if they change channels etc.....

Thanks for your effort with the pics
