    Default Orange spectra?

I'm bringing this up on this site. It was on RetardReference it was a talk about an orange spectra radio. I responded to the thread because I had seen on before and also I saw a handheld saber with the FedEx logo and had an orange back. Each of these radios had the FedEx logo on the serial sticker.

Oddly enough I can't find anything on them now. I wish I got a pick awhile ago.

Anyone heard or seen one of these? I'm going to visit my old boss and see if I can get more info on them and maybe see if they still have them.

supposibly they were special order from Motorola to FEDEX.

If you look at fedexlegends.info there are some good stories that describe the evolution of their information and wireless infrastructure.

I'm at the Fedex world technology HQ in Tennessee all week. If I knew who to ask I would. BTW, they appear to be running VHF TRBO here.

Orange spectras were set up as RF modems for fedex. A little work and they can be reconfigured for "proper" radio operation. BTW most of these units were 800 mhz.
