Default I'm having a brain fart, re: W3 install

I've now been 22 hours without sleep, and my brain is starting to not work right.

I currently have a W3 Astro Spectra in my car. I just got in a W5 mid power (dashmount) XTL5000.

Is it (in theory) really as simple as installing the proper interface board and flex, swapping drawer units, and reprogramming for the W3 config?

I've been staring at manuals for hours, trying to make this more complicated than it really should be.

Thanks Notarola. I was definitely overthinking it. I was thinking I was going to have to do some codeplug hacking, until I found the "change control head" menu option.

After getting a good night's sleep, it all makes sense now.

Now to track down the parts...
