    Default NNTN5032F Blank or Failed?

I have an NNTN5032F Astro25 secure module which when installed in an XTS5000 with R19 firmware reads in service mode as:

    R05.05.03
    KGNONE

Is this module blank or does this indicate a failure?

    Thanks!

I seem to recall the xxx32 module was supplied as "blank" from the factory (i.e. no algo). It would be upgraded in the field via KVL3000(+) with some algorithm using a PCMCIA card that plugs into the KVL's.

The original idea behind it was so gov't users could flash CCI algo's into it and the service and parts depots wouldn't have to touch or handle the sensitive items. That was the driving concept behind the "UCM" as it evolved from the EMC's, the first platform being the failed XTS3500.

I'm able to flash the blank UCMs into whatever you require. Send me email for further info. mars (at) p25 (dot) ca.
