    Default AstroTac compatibility

what is the primary difference between a AstroTac 9600 and an AstroTac 3000?
can the AstroTac 9600 be used for conventional multicast?

I know one difference is that the 9600 can simulcast P25 9600 control channels.

I'm not sure if this is the main difference or not though.

One is used in SmartZone (ATAC 3000), the other in EARLY versions of Astro25 (ATAC 9600). I dont believe the 9600 does analog. ATAC 3000 does IMBE & analog, ATAC (no numbers) is VSELP or IMBE digital only, no analog.

Update: I've no idea if ATAC 9600 can operate in a conventional environment, but I know that ATAC 3000 can.
