Default APX Mobile sporadic power on ?

This is the week for weird problems.

Customer has had an Multi control O5 head APX mobile installed and is complaining about the radio turning on by itself.

The radio does go on and off with the ignition control as it should and the ignition voltage seems to be going to almost zero ...maybe a few tenths of a volt.

What vehicle? Where is the ignition line tapped? Some vehicles these days use a multiplexed ignition system.

Believe this is a Sufton Fire Engine.

My guess is that one of the O5 heads is causing this since the radio stays on for an extended period.

May have thme disconnect or replace the rear head first

    What firmware are you running?

Not sure but should be fairly current.

These were just installed ...I didn't do the installs and haven't pulled the codeplugs

I realize you're likely quite competent, but often others are not. Double-check the firmware versions for yourself. R10 is current and it came out approximately 3 weeks ago.

Also check to see if the Emergency Button switch (normally closed) is functioning properly. If it's not, it could explain why the radio is powering up and acting funny. Just a guess, not established fact.
