Default APX XE RSM - Best operating practices

Motorola released this FSB for the XE RSM. It describes how best to use the RSM.

I also recommend everyone who is experiencing poor TX audio on the APX portables, to review this thread: https://www.p25.ca/threads/2049-Prob...X-audio!-Fixed!

    2. ALWAYS talk ACROSS the two microphone ports
this may be accomplished by holding the XE RSM at a 45 angle in front of the mouth, talking with one of the two microphone ports closer to the mouth than the other, talking to the strobe light or strobe light button or another physical feature on the left or right side of the XE RSM front face
This seems kind of odd. Are they saying that talking to the XE RSM completely perpendicular to the dual mic ports will yield issues in audio?

Yes they want your voice to hit one mic louder and/or before the other, that's how it tells your voice from background noise.
