Default XPR7550 LTR & Connect Plus in OB?

I looked around but couldnt find what i was looking for. Simple question.. my XPR7550's OB is currently flashed for LTR/Passport which is extremely handy here. I have gained authorization on a local connect plus and am prepared to purchase the EID for the mode. Prior to me doing this, will i lose LTR by enabling Connect Plus.. my gut says yes but wanted to confirm.

    Thanks!

Yes, only one option per GOB at a time. Not sure exactly how that would work, as you are not starting with a blank board. You might have to call support to figure that out. It would be nice to just order an additional GOB and flash the other protocol and hold onto the Johnson board, otherwise you will lose that software and have to purchase it again.

So the next questions begs how hard is it to swap a board and what is the cost for a blank?

Disassembly is not difficult. OB kit is PMLN5718AS, and the cost I'm seeing (on my non-discounted, Canadian account) is $110.25 CAD.

Yeah ^^ what he said. I think dealer cost is $75 US or similar. Its real simple. Rip the head off, pull the board, screw on the new one. Snap the head back on.

get the extra board, being able to goback is worth its weight in electronics.

Question here. Do the Gen 2 radios use different?

I have a LTR/Passport board in my xpr4550 that I don't plan on using. However this is the Scholer and Johnson board.

FYI, the SJI board is simply the GOB flashed with the LTR Passport firmware.

Awesome. I'll get one ordered and just swap boards and reprogram as needed
