    Default Entitlement ID Server Migration

So it looks like Motorola is updating their licensing servers to something a bit more modern. The only problem is that any EID issued after 11/21 will require CPS 10 in order to activate via call home registration. I thought Motorola could have done a better job communicating this.

Where did you find this? I can't find any notice about it on MOL.

View the 11/15 PPT on the 2.3 software release

Lots of neat stuff that I think has already been mentioned in another thread. TRBO voting, new GPS packet transmission format

This is probably done to support the APX line now using EIds as well for upgrades.

It may actually be in the 2.3 release

Motorola is keeping it on the downsy and only authorizing users to obtain it on a business-approved basis

In that case, this will become our next freeware project. Denying privacy does not fly around here.

No more fleck-sara? Or just another version? Last time I had to deal with a Flex upgrade with another industry/software, old licenses were retained/were backwards compatible via a hotfix (adobe has released some for other purposes) for currently licensed/installed versions of the software to upgrade the FlexNet/LM. The calls from CPS to Flex shouldn't change, just the Flex service and related system files would. Unless it is a different licensing platform or Flexera did something different than in the past version updates.

The way I understand it, they just added support for Radio Management (RM). I can license radios with RM (not on old EID's), and thru the CPS. Even new EID issued after the cut off date that was specified by Motorola. So I'm wondering what exactly the changes were? I have attach the info from Motorola about the licensing server changes.
