Default Any P25 Activity in Vancouver, BC

Traveling to Vancouver, BC in a couple of weeks for vacation. Was thinking about bringing the radio along. Is there any P25 activity in the area? Any type of Ham activity worth checking out?

Thanks. Didn't really mean to monitor the local public services, though that would have been interesting. It appears everything is in 800mhz and trunked. More interested in Ham radio P25 in the area.

Check out their discussion forum. The group on the forum are all licensed amateurs. They have an extensive DMR network there. I am friends with pretty much all of them. Very good group.

You can also go on IRC to irc.scanbc.com and join #scanbc. That's where they hang out and idle.

And this is their amateur radio club: http://www.bcfmca.bc.ca

There is one UHF P25 ham repeater located on Burnaby Mountain which covers the Greater Vancouver metro area. The repeater is configured in mixed mode. Not much activity on there in the last few years, many have moved to other modes like DMR.

Yeah, thanks for the mention! I go up to Vancouver or the Island all the time and that would be neat to try!
