Post Spacing Bandwith on XTS3000 Program

I am planing on buying a XTS3000 model III vhf when i am filling out the programing sheet they ask about spacing bandwith of 12.5 or 25 mhz in regards to amateur freq what spacing would I use the 12.5 or the 25 mhz. i know that most freq are up 5mhz or down 6mhz (i may have that wrong) I would be thankful for any help I can get on this question.

The spacing (12.5kHz or 25kHz) generally refers to whether you want the radio to be narrowband or not.

If it is for ham use, then 25kHz is used, whereas most commercial frequencies (those likely for you to be using) will be narrowband (12.5kHz) after December 31, 2012.

The spacing in the VHF band is really not standard, so check your frequencies that you are licensed to use.

Oh, one other thing - not knowing if you are with a VFD or EMS group that uses a 2 tone paging system, but the XTS3000 radios will NOT do QuickCall II (2 tone sequential decoding).
