Where do I get them??? I have contacted many dealers - they're all out. None on ebay. Anyone have ideas?

This was discussed on another forum, I think it was Jeff (escomm) that said they've been discontinued, something to do with the original supplier IIRC?

    That's a very constructive response.

How does that help the OP, who is seeking to obtain some FDNY knobs?

My apologies to the original poster. I was not aware I was in buy and sell at the time. The thread was titled FDNY knobs. You are correct Syntrx.

Just an update Radiotwoway has them on their site for a little over 5 bucks a piece I sent them a email asking if they actually have any in stock and how many. I'll report back when I hear back from them.

I don't understand why all these Chinese cloners don't start making stuff like knobs, belt clips, LCD displays, keypads, etc. That stuff would sell like crazy. I'd buy it, if it worked. Motorola's pricing on some of the stuff that's still available (not NLA) is too high. NLA stuff (XTS3K LCD for example) would sell well.

I wish they would.. The saber r batteries would be nice to get again.. I think the Chinese cloners wait for someone in the USA to send a sample and pay the engineering fees and then they can rip them off and sell the item also..

I think that not only is he implying that he has 32 radios.. He is also trying to say that he carries every single one of them! Now, that would be photo-worthy!

Agreed. One Chinese seller actually copied the OG SMA stubby 800 antennas from the MTX800 and STX series. They've got a fatter base and I think they look pretty cool. I picked up a few to put on my old Motorola radio collection.

The old Nextel antennas had the fat base like that too, IIRC.

    Totally forgot about those!

From what I remember, there was a dimpled base stubby and full length whip from the L3000 Lingo. The R750 had the fat base whip with the cylindrical plastic cap on top.

Yeah, they re-used that dimpled base with the new 700/800 7" whips (green core marker).

$150 for a less than $10.00 item. Price gouging?
