    Default Mototrbo DM3600 Help

    Hi guys,

I need some help with my Mototrbo DM3600 radio model number: MDM27UMH9JB1AN!

Basically it's a 800MHz DMR radio which has been "converted" into a 3600 trunking radio to work on smartnet.

Im having problems finding info on how to change it back to DMR?

Does anyone out there have any experience with converting Mototrbo's

    Cheers!

With th US models there is just a different firmware build that you load to convert it from 3600 trunking to DMR, check the Euro MOL.

I have tried that but it connects to the radio, then asks you for a password!
Someone might be able to help! Pain in the ass if you ask me!

    Thanks

Does it ask you for a password if you read the radio? If so the codeplug password is all thats stopping you. This can be found by sniffing the mototrbo network inteface with wireshark.

    Hi, sorry I should elaborate.

I can read/write the radio using the CPS. Theres a option to "Convert" in the tabs up the top of the CPS. When you click on convert, it comes up with a password which I do not know. I understand that my radio has been converted to 3600 trunking with a licence, so you must be able to convert it back to normal. It can be done, like everything. I just need the right person int hr "know"!

    Cheers

I haven't tried going DMR to 3600, but did a few 3600 units when they first came out.
