Motorola have finally got their $*!@! together and has set up a new part number for CPS, marked for download only. You will pay a lot less for this as they will not have to fulfill any DVD orders. Here is the relevant info.

RVN5115 - $299 per 3 year subscription (increase from $265, this is effective 11/6/15)

HKVN4362 - $169 per 3 year subscription. Available immediately.

You will still need an MOL account (register at http://businessonline.motorolasolutions.com) and a valid Software License Agreement.

Hopefully this will put most, if not all, of the whinging about the cost of CPS to bed.

I looked at our CPS management and it looks like we have almost two dozen subs for RVN5115 right now for various locations and computers. Even though we get the DVDs, the updates are usually a week or two behind the MOL posting, so nine times out of ten we end up downloading the update from MOL anyway. This will certainly save some fees, and if we need a DVD, it's cheaper to burn one in the shop anyway.

If CPS were $10, we still wouldn't want to pay for it. LOL.

APX CPS has a download-only option as well; IIRC I think it is $299 vs. $399 for the DVD subscription.
