I'm looking at using the VIP (I think that's the right part/option) for control of a few external relays.
Is this the VIP or AUX? I've seen reference to both and gunlock in the CPS. I was told that 1-3 on the keypad could be assigned as on/off control but they only seem to be assignable to gunlock options of which only seem to allow timed or momentary connection. I figure H/L will use/override the first circuit? I wanted to use the second to control a relay to turn the outside speaker on and off and the third was likely to be assigned to amber flashers for events.
I can assign AUXx to the menu buttons which is not what I was told I could do nor what I was looking to do. I was hoping to assign 1-2/3 for said operations then other operations like memchannels to the other buttons.
Radio is a 07 remote 7500.
Which options would I choose to password the codeplug side of the radio (not the bootup side)? I've seen a coupe of password options and was looking to potentially password the radio and add stun in-case of theft. I'm still learning the lay of the software (gawd awful woeful software) so still have a few other mishaps I have to program out as well.
Help is appreciated . There was some other options that I wanted to ask about but can't think of them at the moment and the VIP+Security is my main issues at the moment.
