I have a client that has bought a bluetooth mic on their own they want to use with their APX4500 O2 mobiles, it seems to pair okay, but when the BT RSM pairs it will say that its connected but on the last word it starts into like a feedback loop or something kind of like VOX is on, I guess I have never paid a lot of attention to bluetooth before in these radios, but I dont see any BT options at all in the codeplug for these APX mobiles even though it has the blue dot and apparently will pair according to the customer, my gut is saying this is probably something M never fully implemented and doesn't work. Works fine for portables, I see the settings for Active Mic for Radio PTT under Ergonomics Wide -> Advanced

Can anyone confirm or deny?

It could have the blue dot and not have bluetooth enabled as a feature. Quickest way to confirm would be to check the flaschode of the radio, it will clearly show bluetooth as an enabled feature.

Bluetooth is not supported on the mobiles directly. You need to use the gateway microphone for the BT RSM. Fingers crossed they will turn it on one day (at least for programming), since the hardware already exists in the O2, O7, E5.

Secondary note from the release notes for the gateway mic:

"PMMN4097A revision A hardware and PMMN4097B revision B hardare are not compatible with APX Mobile and XTL5000 Mobile Radios. For APX Mobile and XTL5000 Mobile Radio compatibility, use PMMN4097C revision C hardware"

For curiosities sake how do you upgrade the FW on the Gateway Mic, was easy to do on the WRSM via USB, but I'm guessing the GW Mic is done over bluetooth, but can't find any documentation on how to connect it to the PC.
