Hello,
I'm looking for a signal that changes state to let you know when the radio has acquired the trunking channel (kind of like the go ahead beeps). Looking at J2 pin #13, channel activity. It changes state during receive but not when the unit is transmitting and acquired the trunking channel. Any idea on this?

Unfortunately the APX (and XTL) radios aren't capable of generating that logic. What you get at the accessory connector by default is, more or less, what you get.

If a consolette is appropriate for your application you might look at that. We use one to generate relay logic for Site Trunking and Failsoft indicators.
