APX6500 Mobile O-7 Multiple Control Head Addressing

I've been doing this on XTL5000s and O-5s forever, but how do you address an O-7 control head as #1, #2, etc. on an APX mobile? The fire chief wants to add a second O-7 remote head to his already single O-7 remote head APX6500 for rear-of-the-vehicle purposes. The old hold-down-a-button-and-then-power-on option doesn't seem to be the process for the APX. A CPS-only thing? Auto configure? Do tell. Thanks.

Are you getting some sort of error when the two heads are connected?

As far as I'm aware, you use CPS.

Radio Ergonomics/Control Head.
- Multi Control Head
- Expected number of Control Heads
-Control Head Alias

No, just can't get into 'assign control head number' mode on the standalone control head. I might have found some documentation within the last minute or two. I don't think I was using the correct button hold sequence before powering on. I'll give this new process a try. Thanks.

Left most Menu Select button and Emergency while powering on. Wasn't sure that you needed to do that for the APX but apparently it's still a thing.

Yep, the left button plus emergency button is still a thing even with the E5 head. The BK KNG Series has a similar function, why they cant simply generate their own addresses on the data bus on power up is beyond me...

I wasn't getting the emergency button into the sequence. My outstanding memory must be declining. Darn. Thanks all.
