That's a legit combo. It's described in the service manual as such, with an FCC ID of AZ489FT4906.

Interesting, thanks. Do you know when they made it available to purchase an APX7000 in both UHF band splits?

I have never seen one before and I don't recall seeing it as a purchase option from Motorola.

I've seen this floating around too, and was curious.

I had also seen via the Service Manual about a year ago that it was possible from a technical standpoint to do UHF1/UHF2 as a legitmate configuration on a 7000, but I figured that was just an "on paper" thing (meaning : Who the heck would actually need this band-split).

I'm trying to think of a use-case for this bandsplit (practical, not hobbyist).

I know in Pennsylvania there's a system in Dauphin County that has a Phase 1 system on the T-Band... maybe it would be some EOC radio that could run on that system, then also have some kind of "interop" with a DoD system (Conventional or TRS).

Oh well, I suppose it doesn't really matter at this point. Anybody that needs this going forward would probably just get an APX 8000 and have their choice of all the major bands!

Or heck, if all you need is Conventional Analog, save yourself a crap-ton of $$$ and just get a Gen 2 TRBO radio (403-512).

The BSM Document History indicates the UHF1/UHF2 info was added in November 2011 so it had to have been somewhere around then. I've yet to see one in person (none of our customers are above 470 MHz) but it's certainly conceivable that a DoD entity could need such a broad bandsplit.

It appears that the seller ended the auction and the radio is no longer available.
