Happen to come across an APX8000 in the wild this morning in central Florida.

When I was in DC recently all of Metro PD were using 7000's with the longer batteries on them.

What?? battery?? No one here remembers the svelt MX360 with a Hi Cap battery. That thing was like carrying a tree trunk

After about the hundredth time your smooth teeny APX battery goes dead 6 hours in and you are in the middle of nowhere on a mountain with no spare, you too will be one of those awesomely huge power cells. That is why there is NO BOTTOM on the 7000XE carry sleeve.



It makes a handy light duty hammer, too.
