Astro Spectra Plus 09/10 error

I have a AS+ W3 with ADP, on boot up I get a 09/10 error, and also when I try to transmit using any mode where encryption is enabled. This radio originally had a UCM, which has been removed. I have a conventional personality defined as ASTRO and set the Secure tab as secure and the Secure II tab set to strapped. The zone channel assignments are set to the conventional personality and key selection.

Could this be caused by a old firmware version?

09/10 is due to the fact the radio is expecting a secure module but it has been removed.

Go into secure configuration and uncheck hardware configuration.

I have ADP checked and not Hardware secure. I am trying use the ADP secure option.

Your host and DSP firmware are ancient! Final firmware for the 4MB vocon was R09.00.41 DSP 16.00.01. I'm not sure ADP was even supported in your current firmware version.

I suspected the firmware was a bit stale. Can you do the firmware upgrade?

The error codes are gone, ADP encryption now works flawlessly, MPL now works. Another issue that is fixed, the back light remembers the last state after a power cycle.

This flash upgrade went very smooth, even though it's 2:30am. Jason knows his stuff.

I did find one issue with the flash upgrade. I no longer have any P25 TX deviation below 146.000. I went from vocon R03 and DSP R03 to Vocon R09 and DSP R16, somewhere big M messed with the soft pot values. Unlike other radios with just low deviation, I get just 40 hertz of noise. Mars is correct, the AS+ does have the softpot deviation issues below 146 with the latest firmware versions.
