Where in the CPS can you program that a given frequency is narrowband ??? Our local fire dispatch is on 154.1450 and of course is now narrowband mandated. Where would I adjust in the CPS ???

Thank's

The setting is in the Zone/Mode configuration, not in the conventional personality area.

I haven't used Astro 25 CPS for a while. Maybe there is a basic/expert setting that you must toggle to see this stuff? It's right there in front of you normally.

It's in the Conventional Personality. Set the Tx deviation to 2.5 kHz (12.5 kHz channel spacing).

It doesnt allow me to adjust it.. Just shows the glasses icon when I attempt to. Is it possible I am missing the 12.5 narrowband mandate option for this radio ??

Thank's

For "narrowbanding" in Astro 25 CPS, under Zone Channel Assignment - Channels tab, for each channel, you must change Tx Opt Transmit Dev to 2.5 kHz. This will change Tx Opt Channel Spacing to 12.5 kHz.

You do not need the mandate. You do not need "expert" view. There are no relevant settings in the Conventional Personality settings.

Except that it can't be a receive-only personality.

If it is, turn on TX briefly in the personality, then adjust the TX Dev to 2.5 in the Zone, then turn off TX to return to a receive-only personality.

As an aside upgrading the VOCON to a Plus does not magically give you 2.5 kHz channel spacing capability. You still need the 2.5 RF board.
