Battery Stuck in XTS5000 M2 UHF

Hello,

I have a Motorola XTS5000 Model 2 UHF that has a stuck battery and wont come out. The Battery is OEM Motorola. I have tried so much to take it out but the release button does not allow me to push in and allow the battery to be released. Also the side of the battery is uneven to the other side. The radio is not a fake Chinese radio it was also purchased NEW. Did anyone have this problem? All Input is good. Thank You!

The release button on the bottom of the battery has two little metal clips that lock it on to the radio chasis. One of them may be bent and getting stuck on the radio. I had that happen to me one time with a battery I had.

Try squeezing the battery and housing together at the bottom of the radio while pressing the button. Wiggling it around a bit if possible while you are doing that may also help.

I just got it off! So Happy . I took a Flat Head Screwdriver and pushed very hard on the release button and it finally cam off. Thank you for your suggestions it was helpful and encouraged me to do this. Thanks!

Make sure the frame on the radio isn't damaged, and BUY A NEW BATTERY!
