Can you add IPSC to a subscriber with a Connect Plus option board?

IP site connect is included with all 6550s. A IPSC system would be programmed as a separate zone not on the option board. Connect Plus MUST be the first zone in the radio, and the channel poll MUST BE the second zone in the radio. IF the Connect Plus system requires TWO ZONES (the maximum amount of zones it is capable of) if MUST BE the third zone in the radio codeplug. After that, conventional, IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus, anything goes.

yes this

It can go in, but as mentioned above Connect plus takes the first zones.

The first non connect plus zone can be IPSC or any conventional type system, capacity plus, simplex etc

The option board is not used, as in the IPSC channel programming, you dont tick the Option Board, and Option Board trunking check boxes. This means it ignores OB and runs independently based on Channel programming in Radio codeplug only

Just doing some Saturday reading...if a XPR6550 subscriber radio has a Connect Plus Trunking Option Board installed, could IPSC be added as an entitlement, or are they mutually exclusive?

I've read through the system planner PDF's and didn't see the IPSC keys listed in the closed thread:

Thanks!

Great thank you both! Just wanted to make sure if a person bought a used radio for ham DMR with this board if it would work ok. I did read too that IPSC and Capacity Plus/Linked Cap+ use different ID ranges, which is a radio-wide setting.

Just uncheck the board option and pretend it isn't there.

That's correct, Capacity Plus has a RID limit (65535).

So the next obvious question, can I use the regular CPS to program as usual, ignoring the option board if not used? I recall special LS trunking versions being required for legacy Maxtrac/CDM/M1225 models, and read about special CPS for Connect Plus operations.
