CPS 12.1 build 645 EMEA and Error #1687

Hi guys

Current CPS started giving me Error #1687 when I try to read, clone or write radios with R01 firmware. Everything is working fine with the R02 firmware radios. To make things ever more weird I can read the R01 radio's tuning softspots with tuner. Radios are recognized by windows fine( "bonk"sound, network adapter etc.), tried the rear programming cable, tried the front programming cable, went back to CPS 11, tried a lot of things with no luck. Even tried Recover or Update, nothing. Unistalled antivirus, spybot S&D, nothing. This is too weird. You can read with tuner, you can do everything with R02 radios but not R01.
FYI the R01 radios have the R01.12.13 codeplug 13.02.01 (DM 3601), tried also with a DP 3400. There are 10 radios in my bench right now with the same behaviour.
Does anyone can thing a solution to this?

Yes,

I saw a similar issue recently --

I have multiple versions of CPS running in Oracles VMBox on Win 7 professional laptop and had not seen issues in a while.

I had been doing Gen 1 and Gen 2 radios with no problem, but could not get my NA CPS to recognize an SLR-5700. I noticed that the "Radio Drivers" in the base windows environment were older than maybe they should have been so I deleted everything and reinstall 11.5 then I restarted my VM and was able to read and program the SLR-5700 in CPS 12.1.

HOWEVER, now my Gen 1 XPR-4550 with the 4010B cable became an issue, I had to go back to the base OS and CPS 11.5 to make changes there. Never did get my 12.1 to work with it but I also did not have time to play with the firmware levels in it, so maybe if it had a more current package in the XPR-4550 it might have worked.

Can you fall back to 11.5 and try.

A quick follow up
Uninstalled everything and registry cleanup. Found two folders, one named "MOTOTRBO Driver" and another one named "MOTOTRBO Drivers". The first one was driver version 4.5 and the second one version 7. Unistalled CPS, Updates, everything. Installed CPS 11.5 but no luck.
Will try from my macbook pro with VM and Windows 7.
And yes,USB and big M is a terrible combination.

phonebuff thank you
You where right. Another laptop with VirtualBox and clean Windows 7 pro did the job.
